Rock Development Group are a new and exciting generation of property mangers and developers who emerge
from founders that have been major contributors and supporters to
Canberra for over 40 years.
The family group established, owned and operated one of
Australia’s largest independent supermarket chains and wholesale
operations, which was known as Cannons Supermarkets and Australian
Independent wholesalers also known as AIW. At this time the family
group was thriving in the retail sector which gave the group an
opportunity to develop and build a number of retail and industrial
complexes, independently or in joint ventures; Chisholm shopping
centre, Erindale shopping centre, G & L warehouse, Temora shopping
centre, Flax house in Tuggeranong centre and the construction of 2
Shell service stations in Tuggeranong and the BP service station in
Chisholm.
In June 1996, the era of Cannons Supermarkets came to
an end the family group sold the retail and wholesale business to
Woolworths.
The Rock Development Group prides itself in having a major
focus on the impact great buildings and community outlets have on the community, but to also focus on the environment and the impact developers
have in making our building complexes friendlier to our environment and
to the future generations to come.
